Since around August/September 2017 I started thinking about becoming vegetarian and eventually vegan. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen until April/May 2018 and I was officially calling myself vegetarian by the end of July.
In October I started to transition to veganism. It’s still a process but I’m confident that one day my diet will be 100% plant based.
The main thing I love about being vegan is that I am trying a lot more new foods. Since transitioning to being vegan, I have tried cashew ‘cheese’ sauce, tofu, vegetable soup and so much more!
My skin feels good! I have always been pretty lucky in the clear skin department but since cutting out dairy it has been so much better. I still get blemishes but it has reduced significantly! Now all I need to remember is to not pick at my skin…
I feel mentally healthy. Personally, I don’t know if this is because of cutting out meat but since doing so I feel really good about myself! I don’t think being vegetarian/vegan is the whole cause of this but I do 100% believe it has something to do with it.
In the future I would like to make more blog posts such as my reasoning for the decision and also one about why it took me so long!
